OK,so it's only January 10, but I think this one's got a lock on the award for 2008:
"Why is it every time an Arab father kills a daughter, it's an honor killing?"
19-year old Islam Said, on the death of his teenage sisters, allegedly at the hands of their father, Yaser Said, a Lewisville cab driver.
Right on, Islam--why it is nowadays in this country a man can't kill his own daughter in peace without people trying to twist it into something wrong? We certainly wouldn't want these tragic deaths to [shudder] reflect badly on anyone...
